Zarkana is an epic spectacle that plunges audiences into a fantastically twisted world that blends circus arts with the surreal to create a place where physical virtuosity rubs shoulders with the strange.
Showing at the 173,500 square feet 1,832-seat Zarkana Theater at ARIA Resort and Casino Las Vegas, the story follows the adventures of Zark, a magician who realizes he has lost his powers when he loses his one true love, Lia.
Heartbroken, he begs for her return and is taken down a rabbit hole into an abandoned theatre populated by a motley collection of off-the-wall characters and incomparable acrobats. Along the way, he runs into the Mutants, four sirens as sinister as they are fabulous, who are determined to divert him from his quest.
Heart-stopping and highly acrobatic feats with stunning acts like flying trapeze, wheel of death and banquine (in which artists perform spectacular sequences of acrobatics and human pyramids), are woven into the story, along with thrilling interactive multimedia moments.
Zarkana features 75 performers from 15 countries and is a highly acrobatic production that makes the most of the ARIA theatre's large stage.

The largest of the three Zarkana arches is covered in "snakes" that were created by carving 8-12 inch sections out of styrofoam, coating them in plaster to make molds, filling the molds with resin, and then, finally, hand-painting each individual mold.
