How To Ride the Monorail in Las Vegas

 

The Las Vegas Monorail is a great way to get an elevated view of the Strip. Travel the strip, free of traffic, for less. The Las Vegas Monorail travels a 4-mile route behind the Las Vegas Strip from MGM Grand to the Sahara.

 

Hours of operation:

7:00am to 2:00am Monday through Thursday, and

7:00am to 3:00am Friday through Sunday.

 

Fare:

Pay $5 for one ride,

$9 for two rides or

$35 for 10 rides.

There's a special $9 sale going on now for the all day pass which is usually $15.

You can also get a three-day pass for $40.

The rides are free for children 5 and under.

 

Las Vegas MonorailIf you don't get to use your ticket before it's time for you to leave Vegas, relax. Tickets are good for one year from the time of purchase so you can use yours on your next trip. That is if you plan to return before the ticket expires. You can purchase your tickets online or at the station property locations from the customer service agents or ticket vending machines.

Take the Monorail to the following stations.

 

MGM Grand Station

 

Located off Tropicana Boulevard, you can reach this station through the Studio Walk shopping area or through the Star Lane shops at the lower level of the MGM main lobby.

 

Get off the Monorail at this station if you wish to go to the following hotels: Excalibur Hotel and Casino, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, Hooters Casino Hotel, Luxor Hotel and Casino, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Marriott's Grand Chateau, Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino, New York-New York Hotel and Casino, Orleans Hotel and Casino, and Tropicana Resort and Casino.

 

You can see the following nearby attractions: Hofbrauhaus, IMAX Ridefilm Adventures, IMAX Theater, Manhattan Express, McCarran International Airport, Orleans Bowling Center, Shark Reef, Showcase Mall, The Tomb and Museum of King Tut, Treasures of Mandalay Bay and Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas (take the Shopper's Shuttle)

 

Bally's / Paris Las Vegas Station

 

Go through the pool area through the Avenue shops at Bally's to get to the Monorail station. Paris Las Vegas is right next door.

 

Las Vegas MonorailThis stop puts you close to the following hotels: Bellagio, Ellis Island Casino and Brewery, Hard Rock Hotel, The Palms, and Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

You can also see the following attractions: Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, Fountains of Bellagio and Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Flamingo/Caesar's Palace Station

 

You will find the Monorail station on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard at the Flamingo. Go through the lobby and the parking garage to get to the entrance.

 

Stop at this station to get to the following hotels: Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon, Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, Hilton Grand Vacations and Westlin Casuarina.

 

See the following nearby attractions: Battista's Hole in the Wall Restaurant and Gold Coast Bowling Center.

 

Harrah's / Imperial Palace Station

 

The monorail station is between Harrah's and Imperial Palace on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard. Go to the back of these hotels and follow the signs to get to the station's entrance.

 

Stop here to play or stay at the following hotels: Casino Royale Hotel, Mirage Las Vegas, New Frontier, Rio Hotel and Casino, Treasure Island and The Venetian.

 

Enjoy the following nearby attractions: Fashion Show, Forum Shops at Caesar's, Gondola Rides at the Venetian, Grand Central Shoppes at the Venetian, Guggenheim Hermitage Museum, Madame Tussaud's Las Vegas, Masquerade Show in the Sky at the Rio, Sands Expo, Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, Sirens of Treasure Island, Volcano at the Mirage and White Tiger Habitat at the Mirage.

 

Las Vegas Convention Center Station

 

The monorail station is at the intersection of Paradise Road and Desert Inn Road. Go through the parking lot of the Convention Center to get to the station. While there, check out the Sprint Retail and Wireless Tech Lounge.

 

Visit these nearby hotels: Courtyard by the Marriott, Embassy Suites, Greek Isles, Marriott Residence Inn, Renaissance Las Vegas and Wynn Las Vegas (take the Wynn Shuttle)

 

Have fun at these nearby attractions: Flyaway Indoor Skydiving and Penske Wynn Ferrari Maserati.

 

Las Vegas Hilton Station

 

Go through the SpaceQuest Casino to get to the Monorail station. It is near the entrance of the Las Vegas Hilton.

 

Stop here if you want to go to the following hotels: Circus Circus, Hilton Grand Vacations, Marriott Suites, Riviera Hotel, Turnberry Place.

 

Enjoy the following nearby attraction: Adventuredome Theme Park Circus Acts at Circus Circus.

 

Sahara Station

 

If you are in the Sahara, you can walk down the hallway behind the Casbah Theater Lounge to get to the station. You can also reach it from Paradise Road behind the Sahara.

 

The following hotels are close to this station: Palace Station, Stratosphere.

 

Nearby attractions include: Fremont Street Experience, Stratosphere Tower Rides, Stratosphere Observation Decks.
