Valentine's Day wedding in Las Vegas

Valentine's Day 2012 falls on a Tuesday but don't let that fool you. Valentine's Day always means wedding no matter what day of the week. What could be more romantic or memorable than a Valentine's Day wedding in Las Vegas? Known as the Marriage Capital of the World, Las Vegas has long been a destination for those looking to tie the knot quickly and with ease. Iconic spots such as the drive-through altar at the Little White Wedding Chapel and the Graceland Wedding Chapel are must-sees on the Vegas map, whether or not vows are in your plans.

If you do choose to get married in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day, here are a few things you should keep in mind.

Valentine's Day is a popular wedding day in Vegas, so you must make all of your bookings well in advance. Chapel reservations, restaurant reservations and hotel reservations.

Neither a blood test nor a waiting period is required

You need a marriage license and need to give yourself enough time to get one. Most chapels will not marry you without one. Click here for more information on how to get one.

If you are renewing your vows, you will need a copy of your original wedding certificate.

Weddings are the second-largest industry in Nevada and there are no shortage of chapels in Las Vegas but Valentine's Day is very busy at most Las Vegs chapels. Pick a chapel and make reservations as soon as possible. Remember most major Vegas hotels also have wedding chapels.

If you need help planning your wedding before you get to Las Vegas, use the services of your hotel concierge. They can be a valuable source of information and their services are free for hotel guests.
