Las Vegas Buffet
Looking for a place to eat? Las Vegas restaurants, especially Las Vegas buffets, make the list of top Vegas attractions. There is certainly no shortage of them and they continue to offer enticing food at great prices. Where else can you go to eat all the steak and lobster you want at a price way under $20?
In our opinion, the Rio has two of the best buffets. There's food for miles! It's quality food too, something you would have to pay an arm and a leg for elsewhere. Other really good buffets are at Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and Mirage. Choose from the other Las Vegas buffets carefully though. In some cases, the phrase "You get what you pay for" applies.
Here are some things to keep in mind when you are at a Las Vegas buffet.
Keep the side dishes to a minimum. Things like potatoes, bread and rice will take up space quickly. Even vegetables. You probably hear "Eat your vegetables!" in your dreams, but this is Vegas, baby! You can do that when you get back home. Right now, go for the seafood, prime ribs and steak. Yum!
Keep drinks to a minimum. Yes, it's nice to be able to drink as much fizz as you want but carbonated drinks take up much needed space too. If you want to get your money's worth of food, take a few sips now and then while you're eating. When you're done, and you know you're not going back for more food, that's the time to enjoy the fizz to your heart's content. If you have any more space, that is.
To get the most out of your buffet experience, sample everything. Take a little bit of each and every item, take note of what you like, and then indulge in those things on your next few rounds. There's nothing like knowing you've tried everything, EVERYTHING, the buffet has to offer.
Want to save some money? Then consider limiting yourself to one meal. Skip breakfast and have a big lunch. It will see you through to the next morning. Or have a light breakfast somewhere else, skip lunch, and then have a big dinner.
Whatever you decide to do, remember that you're on vacation. Forget dieting and enjoy guilt-free meals.
If you plan to gamble at the hotel casino where you will be eating at a buffet, remember to ask for a "line pass" at the casino table . This is a great time saving tip, and allows you to go directly to the head of the line at buffets and shows at that establishment.
