Christmas in Las Vegas

2012 St Patrick's Day in Las Vegas

It's almost that time of year when we all become Irish for a day on St. Patrick's Day. Actually you don't have to be Irish to enjoy St Patrick's day in Las Vegas but If you are true Irish, embrace your Irish heritage the Vegas way this 2012 St. Patrick's Day.

Las Vegas is a fun place to be on St Patrick's day as green beer and Irish whiskey flow at most Las Vegas bars and pubs while you sit back and enjoy live entertainment and authentic Irish food the Vegas way.

Let's face it, Las Vegas is known for doing everything big. St Patrick's Day is no exception. You are not required to be a beer drinker to enjoy St Patrick's Day in Las Vegas. There are lots of other green things in Las Vegas on this day besides green beer. Don't miss out on the green cocktails or green popcorn and green cotton candy.

Things you should know about St Patrick's in Las Vegas

Remember you must be 21 yrs and over to consume alcohol in Las Vegas. It is the law

Don't be afraid to sip your favorite drink as you go - alcohol is allowed to be consumed on the Vegas strip on St Patrick's Day.

If money is not an issue here is a list of highly recommended restaurants you might consider calling ahead of time to make a reservation.

Watch for pickpockets at the Bellagio Fountains and other busy areas on the strip. They usually operate in groups.

There are laws, don't assume that just because it is Vegas it means you can do whatever you want.

If you drink, don't drive. If you drive, don't drink. The penalty for drunk driving is very severe and will require a court appearance.

Don't even think about jaywalking on the Vegas Strip, it is better to lose a little time than your life besides you will get cited if caught.

With that said, if Las Vegas is beckoning you this coming St Paddy's day, here are a few things you might want to put on your to-do list. You'll also find lots of resources and some money saving tips on this site while planning your St Patrick's day in Las Vegas.

OShea is closing, n yes that is mainly where the goings on is goin on. Im surprised Vegas doesn't make a bigger deal out of it. SOme irish sounding pubs do special stuff, but never sounds to be too off the hook.
p.s. its warm in the seventies, but a lil windy so by night a sweater is needed. ;)
