Westcliff Airport Express (WAX) is the new express bus service to McCarran International Airport. Run by the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC), the Westcliff Airport Express travels from the Westcliff Transit Center to Downtown Las Vegas, with continuing service to McCarran International Airport. Designed with commuters in mind, the Westcliff Airport Express service provides a fast connection between the western part of the valley, Downtown, the Strip and McCarran airport.
On the Vegas strip, the Westcliff Airport Express (WAX) only operates one stop at Tropicana Ave and Las Vegas Blvd (next to MGM Grand Hotel)
It features
Rail-like vehicles
Dedicated transit lanes for much of the trip through downtown Las Vegas
Travelling faster than a regular bus line
Ticket Now (pay before boarding). Off-board ticket vending machines where passengers will purchase tickets before boarding the vehicle.

Using Ticket Now
Ticket Now is a pay before boarding ticketing system that speeds up the boarding process by allowing passengers to purchase fares at Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) located at transit stops. See the map above for locations of TVM's
At ticket vending machines (TVM) you can purchase a one way pass, day passes or 30-day passes.
Note: Fares must be purchased at TVMs before boarding the Westcliff Airport Express, The strip downtown Express (SDX), and Deuce on the Strip
Fareboxes are still available onboard the Deuce on the Strip vehicles but passengers on Deuce on the Strip are encouraged to pay before boarding.
Passengers must maintain possession of proof of payment received upon purchase while riding the Westcliff Airport Express.
There is no eating, drinking or smoking on board.
Practically you are not allowed to bring onboard any object that is too large to fit between passenger seats and this include luggages. By law, the aisles must be kept clear of grocery bags or other packages.
While on the Westcliff Airport Express, you must wear a shirt and shoes at all times.
No pets or animals are allowed on board with the exception of service animals which are trained to assist individuals with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Children must be removed from strollers and fold down strollers.
The Las Vegas Westcliff Airport Express (WAX), along with all public transit vehicles in Southern Nevada, is ADA accessible. Seating and space for up to two wheelchairs is reserved in the front of the vehicle, just behind the operator's seat. For TDD call (702) 676-1834
If you left an item on the Westcliff Airport Express (WAX), contact a Public Service Specialist at (702) 228-RIDE (7433) and provide the following information:
1) Route number of the bus you were riding and bus number if possible;
2) Date and time you lost the item; and
3) A detailed description of the item.
All lost and found items, including bicycles, left on transit vehicles may be picked up only at the
South Strip Transfer Terminal, located at 6675 S. Gilespie Street. Items can be claimed only
during the customer service booth hours of 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., weekdays. All items found
will be held for 15 days.
To get to South Point Hotel, transfer at Mandalay Bay (see map above) to the ACE Gold line and continue to the South Strip Transfer Terminal or take the Las Vegas Deuce Bus 301 from any of the bus stops along the Vegas strip heading South to the South Strip Transfer Terminal.
